RMUTP Holds the 7th International Conference

On 23rd – 24th June 2016, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, abbreviated as RMUTP, held “the 7th RMUTP International Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development.” For this 7th year, the topic was “challenges towards the green innovative society. The RMUTP International Conference was held consecutively since 2009 with the objective of providing an opened stage to researchers and students who desires to present or publish their research.

Moreover, for the 7th International Conference, RMUTP had a chance to co-host with Deakins University, Australia led by Prof. Paresh Narayan from Centre for Financial Econometric, Faculty of Business and Law.

In the opening ceremony of the conference, all the participants and organizer were honored by the presence of Air Chief Marshall Prajin Juntong, Deputy Prime Minister who presided over the ceremony and delivered the memorable speech.

The conference consisted of 2 days presentation: the first day session mainly belonged to the keynote speakers—led by Prof. Paresh Narayan from Faculty of Business and Law, Deakins University, Australia; and Prof. Dr. Michael Geoffrey Somekh from Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University; and invited speakers—led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taweechai Amornsakchai from Faculty of Science, Mahidol University; Dr. Suejit Pechprasarn from Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University; Assoc. Prof. Hirofumi Nakayama from Kyushu University, Japan; Dr. Somchai Tancharakorn from Synchrotron Light Research Institute, Thailand; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Theerachai Bongkarn from Faculty of Science, Naresuan University.

In the evening, RMUTP held a dinner party for all participants of the conference which was not only consisted of the dinner, but also spectacular Thai dancing performance of RMUTP students.

For the 2nd day, the conference consisted of oral and poster presentations. More than 100 research abstracts were sent to the committee this year.
With the determination of providing the open stage to researchers, students and public, RMUTP has an eager to organize the International Conference annually and desire to build on the continual success.
