Bali State Polytechnic Lecturers Join Internship Program at International Affairs Division, RMUTP

RMUTP International Affairs Division arranged an internship program for Bali State Polytechnic lecturers: Mr. Oka Aryawan and Mrs. Indah Kusuma Dewi from 1-5 December 2015. The intention of the internship program was to strengthen the long-term relationship between the two institutes, to exchange knowledge regarding management procedures of international affairs including international programs and international students between RMUTP and Bali State Polytechnic abbreviated as BSP, and to discuss possible collaboration on projects in the future: co-hosting of International Conference and credit transfer program between RMUTP and BSP.
Apart from the knowledge exchange regarding international affairs management, the two delegates also had a chance to learn Thai traditions and culture, and to explore Bangkok. The delegates visited many historic places: Intrarawihan temple and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha where the two appreciated Thai-style architecture; and Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall situated in Ratchadamnoen Avenue where the delegates learned the history of Bangkok. Mr. Aryawan and Mrs. Dewi also were able to attend the King’s Birthday Celebration Ceremonies at Thewet campus, RMUTP.
When asked about the knowledge gained and their impression of the visit, Mrs. Dewi said, “This trip was worth it for me and for Oka. I have learned everything that I want to know. I think both institutes have common management procedures regarding international affairs. On this occasion, we are really impressed with the schedule arrangement and everything that the international affairs office arranged for us.” Moreover, Mrs. Dewi talked about the Thai and Indonesian cultures sharing some similarities, “I couldn’t help but noticing that we have some similarities in culture such as Ramayana story. We also have that in Bali too. Finally, I would like to thank the International Affairs Division of RMUTP for the arrangement and hard- working of their staff. Thank you very much.”
